Production Blog

I'm actually kind of excited to put together my commercial. I have a lot of pictures and videos to choose from, but if none of them seem good enough for the commercial, I'll just make more. For the intro, it'll be a blank screen, maybe just black. That will just be the plain template for me to put the title text onto it. I'll edit in some transitions, maybe the text will fade in. Another option I like is me adding some "boom" sound effects as each word on the title screen appears. There's a specific sound effect I have in mind, I just don't remember what it's called, so I'll have to do some searching on YouTube. For the media, I'll start with a picture and a video of myself and add some text saying "this is me!! I'm super cool!!." I was thinking the video should have a caption with something like "I am so silly!!." I want my commercial to be "meme-esque," so it has to be really dumb in a way, but at the same time creative. In other words, just plain childish, something a 5 year old would find hilarious. But then again, I am that 5 year old and my humor is broken. After the media that showcases myself, I'll use the media I gathered that represents my interests, likes, and dislikes, then separate those into categories. First, another screen would appear that goes "these are my interests" then insert media of my favorite bands and whatnot. Next, another screen that says "I like these things" will appear, and obviously it's gonna talk about what I like. After that a screen with my dislikes will show up and that is pretty much how the commercial will go. I'm not going to use too many video filters or anything like that. This commercial is gonna have its fair share of editing, but not excessive. My songs are already picked out, so I'm still trying to figure out how I will incorporate them in my commercial. I might not even use them for the entire duration of the video, just on the section about me. I'll see once I actually start working on my video.
