Reflection

For this project, I learned how to use both editing and drawing software. I actually used an art app called Procreate to create my collages. For transitions and putting together clips, I used iMovie and it was fairly simple. Learning to use iMovie on iPad was nothing but easy. Since I already can use an iPad, navigating the editing software wasn't a difficult task. I also learned how to embed videos on YouTube on my laptop, I found it to be a slightly confusing process. In the end, I figured it out and everything went smoothly.

During the process of learning to put a project together, I learned a few things. I learned how to add transitions and different images and clips together. This allowed me to create a longer video out of smaller pieces of media. I had to learn to get songs from YouTube and import them for my project. I also had the realization that it can be difficult to know where to start when starting from scratch on a video. Another thing I learned was that finding ways to incorporate slides with pictures can get tricky. Formatting videos may also be another challenge, but I was able to overcome it.

I feel that for my next project I could do a better job on effects and editing in general. I can add better, smoother transitions that are pleasing to the eye. I don't think my transitions were bad, just plain and quite basic. To improve my next project, I will add more color and maybe even text transitions. I would like to make my next project more cinematic like a movie, if possible. Hopefully, I can make it less choppy-looking and look more like professional editing. I will purchase an editing software with many effects and options to edit videos, as this will improve the quality of them significantly.
