Planning Blog

 It's time to begin planning out my music video. There's a major problem though.. I DON'T HAVE ANYONE TO WORK WITH! I'm so stressed out right now, everybody's group is full. I fell out with the only friend I was close enough to work with. I have no idea what I'm gonna do. So for now, I guess I'll just plan out ideas I have in mind until I can find someone who will act for me. I think I'll just have to ask my elementary friends if they can help. It may be difficult though, since we all live far apart and meeting up would be so difficult. Anyway, I should probably think of songs. I wanna use a rock song obviously, or a song from a similar genre. It needs to be a song that I can clearly visualize a story to. Wait... I just got an idea. I want to do the song Brutus by The Buttress. It's not a rock song, but it's about the Roman Empire and stuff, basically how Brutus killed Julius. The lyrics clearly lay out the storyline. Brutus is the narrator, and expresses his jealousy over Julius' power. He details how he fears his envy may lead to wicked actions, and how all he wants is to be known. It drives him to insanity, so he kills Julius. This would actually make for an epic music video now that I think about it. It'll be dramatic and dark, quite literally. Dark filters and lighting, and it would be filmed both inside and outside. Hopefully I can go through with this idea, because I'm quite invested now.

 I have set out to begin working on my music video. I have a few volunteers for acting, which is really good. I plan to be in charge of filming and editing because that's what I do best. I used to have a YouTube channel from the ages of 9-12, so I have experience in that field. For a while, editing was my passion, and I'm confident I can make a decent final product. After I made my storyboard, I visualized the main idea for the project. As the first step, I started off by downloading the necessary editing apps. Then, I sought out to research cameras and maybe see if I could buy one that is better quality than my phone. This did not work out, I am broke and cannot afford the camera I so dearly want. Okay well, I'm not broke, just cheap. On top of that, I only have enough money for a cheap camera, and I refuse to settle for lower quality. Schedule 1/20/24-1/20/24       Filming will begin at the designated location. I will be in charge of filming and editing. All scenes will be filmed during this time, this includes beginning and ending scenes.  1/26/24-1/26/24      I will proceed to edit the film, During the time frame from filming to editing, I will compile sound effects and music for the background needed. Title Design

 The font for the credits of my film are to be decided, however, I might use a more typewriter like font. Either that, or something that looks like old print. The opening credits will appear at the center of the screen, but will not take up all of the screen.  The title hasn't been determined either, however, I might go with something like "Holiday Intrusion" The font may look like this: HOLIDAY INTRUSION All captions will have a fade in fade out transition Titles will stay for about 3 seconds I will most likely be using a white and/or red font, depending on the background  The name of the person in charge will appear in all caps.
