Production Blog- Costumes
While I’m typing this, I’m listening to the theme of Shadow the Hedgehog because he’s literally me and it also just goes hard. It’s such a cool song and it’s making me motivated. Before I get more off topic, I must talk about costume design. That’s always an important part of film, isn’t it? It can make or break a character. A lot of characters are remembered for their iconic outfits/costumes. There’s a lot of examples I can think of. My favorite is probably Regina George, just because I think she’s a funny character. Well, how can you not love the outfits they did in Mean Girls? Movies from the 2000s are my favorite. I wish I’d be reincarnated as a skater boy in 2006. Not like I can’t be a skater boy, but the times 20 years ago seen so fun. I’m pretty much nostalgic for an era I was only alive for 2 years in. Wow, this is super off topic again, sorry!! Anyway, the character design for Customer Service (that’s what we’re calling it I think?) hasn’t been thought out that much. I think for our main character (he doesn’t even have a name…) is going to be wearing casual attire, and the assistant will be wearing formal attire. I don’t think any of these characters have official names, oh well. So yeah, the person who contacts the customer service is just a normal guy, and the assistant on the phone has to wear work attire, and for comedic effect the guy who is the higher up will wear half formal half casual attire. Like a button down shirt and swim shorts, because he’s going to be at the beach or something while he gets the call transferred to him. Hooray!
