Production Blog- Editing Software

 Hi again. Today I’m going to ponder about what editing software I should use for the film. I know I did this last year, but I really want this result to be better than the last one. I feel like just using iMovie isn’t going to cut it, the mobile version kind of sucks. On laptop it’s better, but it’s not nearly as professional or anything. I still am plotting on buying Lumafusion but it’s like $35 and I don’t know if I’d ever use it again. There is one other app I do wanna use though: Capcut. The only problem is that I think it’s banned. Ever since TikTok got banned, Capcut is gone too. I know TikTok was restored, but last time I checked, Capcut wasn’t. That really sucks because it’s a good app from what I heard. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t have any watermarks, which ish very important. I remember back in the day around 2016-2019 kids on YouTube would use Kinemaster for their edits. There would always be a huge watermark in the corner. It was just so out there if that makes sense. Like it’s the first thing you notice when watching a video. Besides a mobile software, I could maybe use one on my laptop. I’d have to transfer all the clips to my laptop though. I’ve never done that before now that I think about it. Guess I’ll just have to figure it out.

 I have set out to begin working on my music video. I have a few volunteers for acting, which is really good. I plan to be in charge of filming and editing because that's what I do best. I used to have a YouTube channel from the ages of 9-12, so I have experience in that field. For a while, editing was my passion, and I'm confident I can make a decent final product. After I made my storyboard, I visualized the main idea for the project. As the first step, I started off by downloading the necessary editing apps. Production: Script/Screenplay

 My script doesn't have much dialogue whatsoever. It actually only has two lines where the characters speak. The point of the lack of speech in the script is to create a sense of mystery and suspense. I want whoever is watching to be confused as to what's happening. This will have them wondering what this suspicious character is about to do. I will copy and paste my script here so that you can read it. INT. CHARACTER 1'S HOUSE - LIVING ROOM - DUSK To establish the scene, Character 1 is seen setting up the Christmas tree.  EXT. Our Pitch

 Pitch 1: Long lost twins find each other after being switched up at birth Pitch 2: Millionaire leaves his wife for someone else under the assumption that she's poor, but she turns out to be the richest person in the world I probably wouldn't be interested in doing the first plot. This is because it's super basic, just very cliche. To be honest, me and my partner haven't had the chance to discuss anything. We just agreed to come up with random plots then mutually agree on one. But the first plot I definitely wouldn't pick, only because of how unoriginal it is. Pitch 2 is more interesting to me personally, so I would most likely pick this one. These kinds of dramas are also common, but they're just way more entertaining. It's also really enjoyable, and with the right technique, you can make it more unique than other dramas.
