Production Blog- Poster Design

 Today, I'm going to talk about poster design. Apparently, it's part of the website for the short film. Man, we haven't even started on the website at all. I'm starting to think that we really are cooked, like we don't have any time left for this project. I feel like March 7th is kind of an early day to turn it in. Why not like March 20th instead right before spring break? Time really does pass by way too quickly. This especially applies when you have a big project or something serious. I like to call myself the king of procrastination. I almost always wait until last minute for things. However, this isn't good at all. It causes so much unnecessary stress and it's just not a good habit. This is something I need to overcome, especially before college. I also need to work on being more on top of my work and organizing. Using the reminders widget on my phone has helped quite a bit. It keeps me kind of grounded and having an idea of things I need to get done. Anyway, poster designs are kind of hard to come up with. So far, I've been looking at examples and I'm quite inspired. Actually, I think after looking at all the examples, I have an idea now. Okay, I'm in class now and we need to discuss this, bye now.

Production: Script/Screenplay

 My script doesn't have much dialogue whatsoever. It actually only has two lines where the characters speak. The point of the lack of speech in the script is to create a sense of mystery and suspense. I want whoever is watching to be confused as to what's happening. This will have them wondering what this suspicious character is about to do. I will copy and paste my script here so that you can read it. INT. Our Pitch

 Pitch 1: Long lost twins find each other after being switched up at birth Pitch 2: Millionaire leaves his wife for someone else under the assumption that she's poor, but she turns out to be the richest person in the world I probably wouldn't be interested in doing the first plot. This is because it's super basic, just very cliche. To be honest, me and my partner haven't had the chance to discuss anything. We just agreed to come up with random plots then mutually agree on one. But the first plot I definitely wouldn't pick, only because of how unoriginal it is. Pitch 2 is more interesting to me personally, so I would most likely pick this one. These kinds of dramas are also common, but they're just way more entertaining. It's also really enjoyable, and with the right technique, you can make it more unique than other dramas.
